My Drawing on Location class spends most of our class time outside, learning about local history and drawing our environments, rather than staying in a classroom. My marine biology class took us on a field trip to a turtle rescue center, where we learned about their processes in caring for injured turtles.

Studying abroad completely changes your views of the world and how big and diverse it really is. It opens your eyes to different cultures and and your mind.

My study abroad experience would not have been as amazing as it was without CIS Abroad. I stayed with a host family and it was life-changing. You can't live like an Italian unless you live with an Italian family!
Being in Sorrento was like living in my personal fairy tale. I met the most wonderful people, and we laughed, learned, and grew together. I've never felt more at home than I did living in Sorrento.

Classes are definitely a lot of fun; I only had them four times a week. We had Fridays off, which is nice to travel. My favorite class was Archaeology. I was very excited to take that one because we were right next to Pompeii. I got to learn about Pompeii and then we actually got to have a field trip that took us there. Our teacher was an archaeologist so it was really good to hear that firsthand experience. The staff was very nice and I really enjoyed all my classes.
